“We could not reach an agreement over him and have pulled out of talks, we are interested in two other players, we will see what happens,” Otyakmaz told Eurosport TR.

Diakite is currently on loan Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad.

The 25-year-old defensive midfielder has made five appearances for the Saudi Arabian giants.

QPR signed Diakite from French club Nancy for £3.5 million in 2012 and the Mali international has made a total of 25 appearances for the West London club.

Sivasspor recently parted ways with head coach Roberto Carlos after a string of poor results saw the Yiğidolar drop into the relegation zone.

The Süper Lig outfit replaced the former World Cup winner with Sergen Yalçın.

Yalçın is a former Turkish international with limited coaching experience. The former Beşiktaş star managed Gaziantepspor for a brief spell last season.

Sivasspor are currently in 17th place on 14 points from 16 games this season.
