Beşiktaş were held to a goalless draw by Başakşehir at the Fatih Terim stadium.
Black Eagles boss Slaven Bilic stated that he thought the result was fair.
“We could have won the game, they could have won the game, they defended well and hit us on the break but we missed key chances, it was a fair result,” Bilic told Lig Tv after the game.
Beşiktaş missed the chance to close the gap with league leaders Galatasaray to one point.
The Black Eagles finished the week three points behind Galatasaray and one behind second played Fenerbahçe.
Bilic underlined that the draw hurt his sides title chances but stated that they are still in the race.
“We dropped two points, it hurt but we are still in the race,” he added.
Başakşehir have the best defensive record in the league, the Istanbul minnows have only conceded 18 goals all season.
The Istanbul based side have also kept the highest number of clean sheets in the league – 14.
