Trabzonspor agree terms with Erkan Zengin
Trabzonspor are a step closer to completing the transfer of Erkan Zengin after agreeing personal terms with the Swedish international midfielder according to LigTV.
The Black Sea based side sent representatives out to Sweden to meet with Zengin and convince him to join Trabzonspor.
Trabzonspor will pay Eskisehirspor a transfer fee of €2.25 million for the winger.
The report states that Zengin will return to Turkey and undergo a medical in Tarbzon.
Zengin recently stated that he would prefer to join Fenerbahce and underlined that he would not be joining Trabzonspor.
“I have not met or spoken with anybody from Trabzonspor,” Zengin said to the Turkish newspaper the Hürriyet.
“I have no intention of going to to Trabzonspor, whether they release a statement to the stock exchange or release a statement to NASA, it wont make a any difference.”
Zengin has two and a half years remaining on this contract with Eskisehirspor.
The Swedish international of Turkish origin joined EsEs in 2010 and has 29 goals as well as 33 assists in 171 appearances for the Süper Lig outfit.
Zengin has scored four goals in 16 appearances for Eskisehirspor this season.
