Arsenal transfer news: French star turned down Gunners move in favour of Galatasaray following Gomis call
Former France international goalkeeper Cedric Carrasso completed his move to Galatasaray earlier today.
However, recent reports from Freance suggest the experienced keeper was close to a move to Premier League giants Arsenal.
According to French outlet L’equipe, Carrasso was nearing a move to the north London-based club until Bafétimbi Gomis intervened.
Per the source, Carrasso held a meeting with Gomis and subsequently decided to turn down Arsenal’s offer in favour of a move to Galatasaray.
The keeper also decided to move to the Turkish giants as he would be second choice behind Fernando Muslera. Meanwhile at Arsenal Carrasso would have been the third choice goalkeeper behind Petr Cech and David Ospina.
