Agent offers Newcastle striker to Turkish league giants, Magpies green light move
Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic has been offered to Fenerbahce through an agent according to reports in Turkey.
Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik report that an agent with close ties to Fenerbahce – who remains unnamed – has been given a mandate to offer Mitrovic to Turkish clubs.
Per the source, Newcastle want £13.2 million [€15m] but Fenerbahce are keen on a loan move for the Serbian international.
The Yellow Canaries informed the agent that they want to loan Mitrovic and are waiting for a response from Newcastle.
Mitrovic recently revealed that he is happy at Newcastle but that he would consider the right offer.

“If some good offers for me, which are also good for the club, come in over the summer then we will speak about it. If it doesn’t happen then I’m still a Newcastle United player. I have three years on my contract,” Mitrovic was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
“So we have to speak to the club, to the manager [Rafael Benitez] and we will see. I heard something about other clubs but for now, I just want to rest. I need to prepare for next season.”
Fenerbahce have prioritised signing a striker this window. Moussa Sow is set to return to his parent club on loan while Emmanuel Emenike and Fernandao have been transfer listed.
Mitrovic has struggled for goals since joining the Magpies on a £15.7 million [Transfermarkt] move from Anderlecht in 2015.
The 22-year-old striker has netted 15 times in 50 appearances for Newcastle in all competitions.
