Arsenal have had a €32m bid for Cengiz Under rejected by Roma according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

Per the source, the Giallorossi are not budging from their €50m valuation for the Turkey international star.

Roma hold a strong hand in negotiations over Under as he is under contract at Roma until 2022.

A source close to the player has told Turkish-Football that Arsenal have been scouting Under over the course of the season.

The 21-year-old is happy at Roma but if he does leave Italy he wants a move to the Premier League.

The problem Under is having is with his wage. The young winger is paid approximately €1m-a-year making him one of the lowest paid players in the first team.

Under is however, one of the most highly rated and valued footballers in the Roma squad.

The Serie A outfit are prepared to sell the rising star for the right price but are in no rush to make a decision and could still offer a renewed contract deal with a pay increase which his representatives have been pushing for.

Under has been in impressive form his season scoring five goals and five assists in 19 competitive games.

With three goals and two assists in the Champions League, only Arda Turan has matched his record in the European competition.

Under would not require a work permit to play in England due to the number of national team caps he has and the transfer fee his move would likely fetch.
