Beşiktaş star Gökhan Töre has refused to comment on transfer speculation linking him with a move to West Ham.
Töre ruled out a move away from Beşiktaş over the transfer window despite being closely linked with a move to the Hammers.
Töre told Fanatik: “All I want to focus on right now is the league I am happy at the club.”
The Turkish international winger spent the last two seasons under the stewardship of current Hammers boss Slaven Bilic who is a self admitted fan.
The 23-year-old is no stranger to Premier League football having started his career at Chelsea as a youth before brief stints at HSV Hamburg and Rubin Kazan.
“I have always said that Gökhan Töre could play at any European team he has both the quality and the potential,” Bilic said.
“After agreeing terms with West Ham I told the board that I want him and I strongly believe he would add a lot to the team and be a success in England.”
Töre has a total of three goals and five assist in all competitions this season and has established himself as a first team regular under the command of Şenol Güneş.
Beşiktaş are currently first in the Turkish Super League and have scored the highest number of goals in the country – 27.
Töre is rated as being one of the brightest prospects in Turkish football and is expected to feature in the national team side going into the European Championships this summer.
