Calimbay – ‘Mersin are on the right path’ [divider]

Mersin manager Rıza Çalımbay believes his side deserved to beat Karabükspor in the Süper Lig week 21.

Mersin beat Karabükspor 2-1 at the Mersin Arena.

“It was a deserved victory in my opinion, hopefully we will keep performing like this,” Çalımbay told Lig Tv after the game.

Çalımbay also underlined that Mersin are on the right path to finishing the season in the top half of the table.

“Our aim is to finish the league in the best possible position, Mersin are on the right path, we will finish in the top half of the season hopefully,” he added.

Mersin were promoted to the Süper Lig this season and moved into 7th place following the win over Karabükspor.

The victory was Mersin’s third consecutive win in the league. Mersin have scored a total of 12 goals in their last three games.

The Mediterranean based side will take on Bursaspor at the Bursa Atatürk stadium next week.

Mersin would overtake the Green Crocodiles with a win over Bursaspor.
