Crystal Palace transfer news: Eagles determined to sign £10m star striker before deadline
Crystal Palace have stepped up their efforts to sign Cenk Tosun from Besiktas before the transfer window slams shut.
The Turkey international has been linked with a move to the Premier League over the past 24 hours.
According to HITC Sport, Palace are ‘hopeful‘ of beating the transfer deadline to sign Tosun.
Palace are keen to bolster their attacking options as they want to provide cover and competition for Christian Benteke.
Cenk Tosun played a starring role for Besiktas during their back-to-back title wins. The 26-year-old netted 20 Turkish Super League goals last season and already has scored two this season.

The prolific striker has scored five goals in 19 appearances for the Turkey national team.
However, Newcastle United are currently the bookies favourites to sign Tosun. According to Ladbrokes, Newcastle have been priced at 4/1 to sign Cenk. Meanwhile Crystal Palace have been priced as 4/7 outsiders.
Palace face Burnely FC when the Premier League returns on September 10.
