Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League clash between Real Madrid and Roma will be officiated by the Turkish referee Cuneyt Cakir.
Cakir will be aided by two Turkish assistant referees, Bahattin Duran and Tarık Ongun – while Mustafa Emre Eyisoy will be the forth official.
Roma will travel to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium to face Real Madrid and will be looking to improve upon the heavy 7-1 defeat they suffered when the two teams met in Rome.
Çakır averages 4.11 yellow cards per game, 0.21 red cards per game and 0.27 penalties per game.
Despite criticism for being a little too card-happy the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) named Çakır as the fifth best referee in the world.
