Arsenal recently confirmed Mesut Ozil will be wearing the No 10 shirt next season.
The playmaker of Turkish origin made no secret of the fact that he wanted the jersey in the past.
Jack Wilshere occupied the shirt when the 29-year-old arrived at Arsenal from Real Madrid back in 2016.
Wilshere left the club earlier this week putting an end to a 17-year association with the north London based club.
We took a look at how Arsenal fans reacted on social media to Ozil getting his hand on the No 10 shirt.

Arsenal fans generally appeared pleased with Ozil getting the No 10 shirt, after all it is what he wanted all along.
So delighted that Ozil has got the No.10 jersey. He’s been wanting it for a while and finally he’s got it. He deserves it too. Whether Unai actually plays him as a 10 remains to be seen, but I’m sure he will have a fantastic season. For me, the best player at this club.

Ozil is currently on holiday following Germany’s group stage exit from the 2018 World Cup.
The 29-year-old is expected to have a full pre-season at Arsenal this summer.
