Kuban Krasnodar are currently 8th in the Russian Premier League table with 26 points.

The 30-year-old was a free agent after Cesena terminated his contract after just three months.

Almeida had also been linked with moves to Fiorentina, Bursaspor, Gaziantepspor and Balıkesirspor in recent weeks.

The 30-year-old moved to Beşiktaş for €3 million from Werder Bremen in July 2011.

The Portuguese international scored 37 goals in 88 appearances for the Black Eagles.

Almeida also has 56 caps and has scored 19 goals for Portugal at international level.

The powerful striker became a free transfer last summer after Beşiktaş failed to meet his wage demands which were reported to be in the region of €3 million per-season.

The Black Eagles opted to sign Chelsea striker Demba Ba instead. The Senegalese international has already scored more goals than Almeida did all last season.
