The Reds came from behind against AC Milan to record one of the greatest Champions League final comebacks to lift the trophy in Istanbul in 2005.
Liverpool returned to the Atatürk Olympic stadium in the Europa League this season.
The Reds lost the Round of 32 second leg against Beşiktaş on penalties and were subsequently knocked out of the competition.
Cowley will be raising money for the Alder Hey children’s hospital in West Derby, after his daughter, Mia, was recently treated there.
The fundraising cyclist was quoted as saying: “I am doing this after my daughter was admitted to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and the treatment was simply amazing. I can’t see how other parents cope with their kids being so ill.
“I would like to give something back and help to help the children and the incredible staff at Alder Hey.”
