Liverpool Striker Wants To Fight For Place In Jurgen Klopp’s Side Amid Reports Of Offer From Turkey

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge faces an uncertain future under Jurgen Klopp.

Sturridge dropped down the pecking order, behind Danny Ings, after a disappointing campaign.

The England striker managed just two goals in the Premier League last season with both coming before November.

A six-month loan spell at West Brom did not work for Sturridge either, the forward failed to score a single goal after January.

The 29-year-old does however, aim to fight for a place in Jurgen Klopp’s side according to the Sun.

Per the source, Sturridge plans to make the Reds tour of America when they face Manchester United, Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund.

The striker reportedly has attracted interest from Turkey.

Turkish sports newspaper Fotomac claim that Besiktas vice-president Ahmet Nur Cebi held talks with Sturridge’s representatives over a summer move.

Besiktas supportersĀ have launched a ‘Come to Besiktas’ campaign on social media to try and convince Sturridge to make the move to Istanbul.

Turkish-Football has however, learned from Sturridge’s management company Octagon that as things stand Besiktas have not made an offer.

The Istanbul giants have not contacted Liverpool or his representatives.

Sturridge is reported to be happy at Anfield but offers will be considered as he has just 12 months remaining on his deal.
