Galatasaray want to bring Barcelona winger Arda Turan in on a six-month loan according to the Hürriyet.
The Lions president Dursun Özbek has made an enquiry and has entered talks with Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut according to the report.
The Süper Lig champions could face competition from Liverpool and Tottenham. The Express claims that both Premier League clubs are considering a temporary move to add depth over the first half of the season.
Galatasaray may have trouble convincing Barcelona into allowing Turan joining on loan as club president Bartomeu underlined that the bearded winger would not be joining a side playing Champions League football.
“This is a possibility but the final decision must be made by coach Luis Enrique and it must be a purely technical decision,” Bartomeu told RAC 1.
“It must be a team not playing in the Champions League.”
The Lions may be able to find a way around this by only registering the 28-year-old for domestic football. Considering the wages the Turkish international would be demanding and Galatasaray’s Champions League commitments a loan deal may end up proving to be unviable.
Turan joined Barcelona on £24 million transfer from Atletico Madrid a fortnight ago but will be unable to play for his new side until January due to the La Liga champions transfer ban.
