Fenerbahçe have released an official statement that Manchester United striker Robin Van Persie will arrive in Turkey at 17:30 GMT.
Van Persie will arrive at the general terminal at the Sabiha Gökçen airport in Istanbul, Turkey.
The statement read: “Robin van Persie is expected to arrive at the Sabiha Gökçen airport at 19:30 (local time).”
As reported by Turkish-football.com’s Emre Sarıgül and the Guardian’s Marcus Christenson on Thursday Fenerbahçe have struck a deal with United for a transfer fee likely to be in the region of £4.7 million per-season.
Over 1000 fans are expected to turnout to welcome the Dutch star but that figure could rise significantly by the time Van Perise arrives in Istanbul.
Former United teammate Nani was greeted by over 1000 fans at the same airport last Sunday.
Van Persie will become the second United player to join the Yellow Canaries this week and is expected to sign a three-year deal.
The 31-year-old will become the only Netherlands international in the team replacing former Fenerbahçe star Dirk Kuyt who moved to Feyenoord at the end of last season.
