Fenerbahce join race for Nigerian ace Henry Onyekuru

Fenerbahce have joined the race to sign Liverpool target Henry Onyekuru. A source close to the club has revealed to Turkish-Football that the Yellow Canaries are weighing up a move for the 19-year-old forward.

The Yellow Canaries have been keeping tabs on Onyekuru but have yet to make an offer for the youngster.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail have reported that both Celtic and Liverpool are also interested in Onyekuru’s services. Per-the-source, the Scottish champions have already had a bid for the youngster turned down and are considering an improved bid.

Onyekuru has been in impressive form after netting 10 goals in 22 appearances for K.A.S. Eupen so far this season. Eupen – who were recently promoted to the Belgian First Division – find themselves in 13th place with 20 points from their first 22 league games.

The 19-year-old’s representative has also confirmed interest from both Liverpool and Fenerbahce.

”His agent told me about Liverpool’s interest yesterday when I tried to re- ignite Fenerbahce’s interest in his services. I don’t how long Eupen can hold on to him, he is a very good player,” the unnamed representative claimed. told Owngoalnigeria.com.

Who is Henry Onyekuru

Henry Onyekuru is a pacy forward who is adept at playing both in attack and out on either wing. The 19-year-old is competent with both feet and possesses both pace and composure in-front of goal.

Both Liverpool and Fenerbahce are in need of reinforcements on the wings and may try force a move for the young Nigerian before the January transfer window closes.
