Liverpool have been received a boost following Emre Can’s return to training ahead of schedule.
The 22-year-old was initially expected to miss the remainder of the season and was a doubt for Euro 2016.
However, Can has recovered quicker than expected. The Germany international took part in a training session yesterday with players who didn’t start the 3-1 defeat to Swansea.
The Liverpool Echo newspaper states that the 22-year-old will be carefully monitored by the clubs medical staff over the next few days.
Can has three assists and two goals in 46 appearances for Liverpool this season. The former Bayer Leverkusen star has thrived under Jurgen Klopp and is a important member of Liverpool’s starting line-up when fit.
The Red’s take on the Spanish outfit Villarreal in the Europa League semi finals second leg on Thursday. Liverpool will look to overturn a 1-0 defeat from last week’s first leg encounter with Villarreal.
