Dirk Kuyt admits returning to Liverpool was emotional [divider]
Fenerbahçe winger Dirk Kuyt admitted that returning to Liverpool was an emotional experience.
“We flew to Manchester, and we had to drive through [Liverpool] and you see all the places you were used to for all those years. It’s very special and it’s a bit emotional,” Kuyt told the official Liverpool website.

Kuyt travelled to Liverpool to cover the All-Star charity game that was hosted by the club.
The former Netherlands international was unable to take part in the game due to picking up an injury in the 1-0 win over Beşiktaş in the Istanbul derby last week.
Kuyt and Fenerbahçe teammate Raul Meireles were forced to pull out of the Liverpool FC All-Star charity match on Sunday.
The 34-year-old scored 71 goals in 285 matches for Liverpool and 24 goals in 104 international appearances.
The Netherlands international played in the the 2006-07 Champions League final, was runner up in the 2008-09 Premier League title race and won the 2011-12 League Cup with the Reds.
