‘From Amazing Emre Can to Emre Can who? – Liverpool fans roast star midfielder following Southampton draw on social media
Liverpool were held to a goalless draw against Southampton on Sunday.
The Reds struggled to unlock the Saints defence and failed to find a way through over the course of the 90 minutes.
The draw means that if Manchester City win their game in hand they will overtake the Reds and move into third-place.
Germany international of Turkish origin Emre Can started for Liverpool against Southampton.

It’s almost a shame #EmreCan scored that wonder goal as it masks he is a liability, too many touches, gives the ball way no creativity #LFC

Liverpool have played Southampton four times this season and have failed to score a single goal.
Embarrassing stuff from LFC.

@Anything_LFC Southampton had nothing to play mate and all they had to do was set up two banks for 4 and make it narrow. Nothing special about that

The Liverpool midfield failed to find the keys to unlocking the Southampton defence. Lucas, Wijnaldum and Can were criticised for lacking creativity.
Emre Can – 6/10
No critical thinking from Can today, some sideways passes and did not seem to find the way to break Southampton’s defence.— LFC Player Ratings (@PlayerLfc) May 7, 2017
Southampton were defending deeply and we had a midfield of Lucas, Wijnadlum, and Emre Can. None of these players are bal jugglers

Today’s performance is why I’m no fans of Emre Can and Wijnaldum. Both average at best. Majority of the players are frankly. #LFC

Opinion on Can appears to swing from one extreme to the next on a game by game basis right now.
