Galatasaray have made a loan offer for Liverpool striker Divock Origi sources close to the Super Lig club revealed to Eren Sarigul of Turkish-Football.
The Lions made an offer through intermediaries and are currently waiting for the Reds to make a decision.
Galatasaray are aware that Liverpool are keen on selling Origi but they want him on loan.
The Istanbul giants authorized the offer earlier in the week along with moves for several other strikers on the shortlist.
The Reds would prefer to sell the Belgium international on a permanent deal but have yet to find a club willing to make a permanent bid.
Galatasaray have a long-standing interest in Origi and feel they have a good chance of signing him considering his lack of playing time.
Origi has another two-years left on his contract but has yet to play a single Premier League game this season.
The reigning Super Lig champions are in desperate need of a striker with Eren Derdiyok the sole available forward at head coach Fatih Terim’s disposal.
Galatasaray failed to replace Bafetimbi Gomis who was directly involved in 38 goals last term.
The Yellow-Reds could face competition from Besiktas who have also made signing a striker in January a priority.
The Black Eagles were interested in Origi over the summer but have yet to make a fresh offer.
