The 31-year-old forward is reported to be close to agreeing a two-year deal with Genoa but Galatasaray are yet to release a statement regarding the rumour.

An agreement is expected to be struck once Pandev is granted EU citizenship.

Pandev joined Galatasaray on a free transfer from Napoli in the summer.

The Macedonian international currently ears €2.4 million per season at the Lions.

Pandev struggled for playing time under former manager Cesare Prandelli and despite getting some playing time following the appointment of Hamza Hamzaoğlu he has failed to feature recently.

The 31-year-old has scored seven goals and provided one assist in 13 appearances for the Turkish giants this season.
