Liverpool ended a four-game losing streak with a 3-0 win over Huddersfield in the Premier League at the John Smith’s Stadium on Tuesday.
Emre Can put on a man of the match display and was directly involved in two of the Reds three goals.
Can scored the opener with a stunning long-range effort and won the penalty that Mohamed Salah converted.
BT Sport pundit Robbie Savage was however, more interested in Can’s penetrative passes.
The midfielder unlocked the Huddersfield defense several times with his long-range passes, in fact, no other Liverpool player created more chances than Can (4).
Can completed five of his attempted six long-balls making a total of 87 passes at a 90 percent accuracy.
Savage was so impressed with Can’s dangerous passes that he compared him with Manchester City star Kevin de Bruyne.
“I think Kevin de Bruyne is the best at playing those type of balls,” Savage said.
“I’m not saying Emre Can is as good as Kevin de Bruyne but those areas where you got to break the block is where he did exceptionally well tonight,” Savage said.
