Stoke City Close To Completing €16m Transfer After Target Spotted Leaving Galatasaray Camp At Midnight

Stoke City are reported to be close to completing the transfer of Galatasaray midfielder Badou Ndiaye.

Ndiaye was spotted leaving the Florya training grounds at midnight after striking a deal with the Potters.

The Senegal international was removed from the squad ahead of the Osmanlispor clash despite turning up for training the same day.

Ndiaye was expected to start against the Ankara based side but instead left the training grounds.

The report claims that an agreement with Stoke City could now be on the cards.

Galatasaray recently underwent a managerial change – Fatih Terim replaced Igor Tudor – and a presidential change – Mustafa Cengiz replaced Dursun Ozbek.

The club has been in turmoil off the field and the changes in the board and personnel have led to mixed messages being given off by the Galatasaray camp.

Turkish-Football did report Galatasaray director Burak Elmas confirming an offer for Ndiaye: “There is an offer for Ndiaye from the Dursun Ozbek era, it would be wrong to make any promises right now club president Mustafa Cengiz is dealing with these matters.”

Turkish outlet Fotomac claim Galatasaray boss Fatih Terim has been informed about Stoke City’s €16 million bid.

The Lions would make a tidy profit if they accept Stoke City’s offer as they signed Ndiaye for just €7.5 million six months ago.

The box-to-box midfielder has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks following an impressive run of form.

Ndiaye only made the move to Galatasaray over the summer transfer window but has already established himself as a first-team regular at the Istanbul giants.
