The Black Eagles have yet to replace Tosun who joined Everton in January but have done pretty well without him winning both games after returning from the winter break.
Besiktas ended up beating Kasimpasa thanks to a brace from Anderson Talisca who has now scored four times in his last two games.
Tosun meanwhile has yet to open his account at Everton but will have the chance to do so against Leicester City next on Wednesday.
