Beşiktaş striker Demba Ba has arrived in China ahead of completing his €14 million move to Shanghai Shenhua.

Ba was greeted by a large crowd of Chinese fans welcoming what is expected to be their next transfer.

The Black Eagles released a statement confirming that Ba has entered talks with the Chinese giants.

Statements of this nature are usually released as a formality before Süper Lig clubs officially announce the completion of a transfer.

Ba is expected to receive €7 million per-season if he passes his medical and puts pen to paper.

The Senegalese international was closely linked with a return to the Premier League and both West Ham as well as West Brom had been closely linked according to the Mirror.

The 29-year-old striker is coming off the back of scoring a career high 27 goals for the Black Eagles.

Ba is expected to join fellow Beşiktaş player Ersan Gülüm who is reported to be on the verge of a €5 million move to the Chinese giants.
