Manchester United are set to offer Bayer Leverkusen €36 million for Hakan Çalhanoğlu according to Beyaz Tv.
Speaking live on the Derin Futbol show Turkish football pundit Ertem Şener claimed that United are expected to make a €36 million offer before the transfer deadline.
Serie A giants Juventus have also set their sights on the 21-year-old playmaker according to Radyospor.
The Turkish international was recently described by BT Sports pundit and commentator Owen Hargreaves as being a superstar in the making.
The Bayer star scored the opening goal in the 3-0 win over Lazio to take Bayer through to the Champions League group stages and was praised by Hargreaves for his performance on the night.
“I love Çalhanoğlu I think he’s gonna be a superstar, honestly he’s one of the best strikers of the ball you’ll see,” Hargreaves said.
The 21-year-old has already scored twice this season including a free-kick against Hannover 96 – his 22nd free-kick goal.
Çalhanoğlu joined Bayer from HSV on a €15 million transfer last season and has four-years left on his contract.
