Hammers boss Slaven Bilic has the added advantage of having worked with Tosun for two-seasons during his time in charge of Besiktas.

The reigning Turkish champions want at least €20 million for Tosun.

The Takvim newspaper quoted a Besiktas spokesperson as saying: “Cenk is a key player, we would only consider offers of €20 million for him, otherwise he will stay.”

Tosun has been on fire this season scoring 20 goals in all competitions.

The 25-year-old striker scored twice in four minutes for Turkey against Finland on Friday 24 March in the 2018 World Cup qualifier played at the Antalya Arena.

Tosun has progressed from being behind Vincent Aboubakar in the pecking order to first-choice striker.
