Mainz 05 midfielder Yunus Malli scored in the 3-1 victory over Stuttgart in the Bundesliga over the weekend.

The 24-year-old scored his sides equaliser from the penalty spot on 37 minutes cancelling out the home sides early lead.

The victory moved Mainz within three points of fourth placed Borussia Monchengladbach.

Spurs have been heavily linked with Malli in recent months and had scouts present at Maniz’s game against Hanover 96 recently.

Sport Bild have also reported that Tottenham are interested in signing the Turkish international who has had an excellent season so far.

Tottenham could face competition from a mystery Premier League club to sign Mainz 05 star Yunus Mali according to Kicker.

The German football magazine also report that La Liga outfit Valencia are also in the race to sign the Turkish international midfielder.

The 24-year-old midfielder has a minimum fee release clause in his contract set at €10 million.

Malli is expected to be called up to the Turkish national team for the European Championships in France over the summer.

The attacking midfielder played for the Germany U21 side as a youth but has decided to switch allegiances and represent the country of his parents.

Malli has scored ten goals and has provided three assist in 28 appearances for Maniz this season.
