Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is keen on brining in Fenerbahce midfielder Mehmet Topal on a free transfer according to Fotospor.
The report claims that United are keen on signing the experienced midfielder who is currently a free agent.
United could however, face competition from Premier League rivals Tottenham who have also been closely linked with the 30-year-old.
Europa League winners Sevilla are also in the race as are Greek giants Olympiakos.
Fenerbahce are however, keen on renewing Topal’s contract but have not been been able to strike a deal yet.
Topal is nicknamed the Spider due to the dual-footed midfielders ability to win the ball back with his long legs.
Fanatik recently claimed that Topal had reached an agreement-in-principle with Tottenham.
The Turkish international star has experience playing abroad having enjoyed a stint at La Liga outfit Valencia and has won the league title with both Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.
Topal will play a key role for Turkey in Euro 2016 but is expected to feature as a defender instead of his usual defensive midfield role due to an injury crisis in the back four.
