Liverpool take to social media to reminisce about Istanbul victory 

Liverpool have taken to social media to relive the 2005 UEFA Champions League final victory in Istanbul.

The Reds came from behind against Serie A giants AC Milan to record one of the greatest Champions League final comeback win’s to lift the trophy.

Captain Steven Gerrard scored the reds first goal and won the penalty which lead to the equaliser. Liverpool went onto win the game on penalties.

Liverpool shared a photo of Gerrard on their official Instagram page and included the following caption, “12 years ago today…”
