Birmingham City transfer of €4.5m Nigerian international midfielder to be “all clear tomorrow”
Nigeria international Ogneyi Onazi had been closely linked with a move to Birmingham City in recent weeks.
According to the Turkish outlet Fotomac, Birmingham have struck a deal worth €4.5 million to sign Onazi from the Super Lig giants.
However, the deal appears to have hit a stumbling block. Trabzonspor manager Ersun Yanal has spoken to the Turkish media regarding Onazi’s transfer to Birmingham.
The former Turkey national team boss confirmed that Onazi is on the verge of a move to the Blues but that some complications have arisen.
Yanal went onto state that a resolution will be reached tomorrow.
“Onazi was on the verge of transfer to England, but there were some issues so the transfer is off at the moment,” Yanal was quoted as saying by Haber 61.
It’ll be all clear tomorrow. Let’s see what happens. If a move to Birmingham doesn’t materialise, then he’ll start working with us again.”
