Arsenal star Mesut Özil has said that he is thankful to have Arsene Wenger as his manager at Arsenal.
The Germany international heaped praise on the experienced coach and praised his ability to develop young talent.
“He has experience and in past years you’ve seen him develop some top players. I get on really well with him and he gives me his trust. I’m thankful to him for that and to be praised by a coach like him means a lot,” Özil told arsenal.com.
“I thank him for that through good performances on the pitch.”
Özil is set to appear in the UEFA Champions league for the 8th season and is expected to be included in the Gunners starting line-up.
The World Cup winner played a staring role in the Gunners 2-0 win over Stoke City on Saturday.

Arsenal take on London rivals Chelsea in the Premier League next weekend. Özil is expected to start against the reigning champions and was also part of the Gunners side that beat the Blues in the Community Shield last month.
