Arsenal Reach Deal In Principle Which Would See International Star Leave Emirates But Talks Over Buyout Clause Ongoing With Turkish Giants

David Ospina

Arsenal have reached a deal in principle with Besiktas to loan David Ospina to Turkey this season according to Sabah journalist Fatih Dogan.

Dogan appeared on a transfer round update with Turkish state radio and television head of sport Fatih Gunayer where he explained the latest situation regarding Ospina.

The transfer saga which has dragged on for months now is edging closer to an end according to Dogan.

Besiktas have already agreed personal terms with the Colombian international but the problem was always with Arsenal.

The Black Eagles want to loan Ospina but have yet to strike a deal over the buyout clause.

Fatih Dogan: “There is an agreement with the player and a deal in principle with Arsenal but the two sides have yet to agree on the buyout clause.

“Besiktas have set aside part of the transfer fee Fulham paid for Fabri but have a number of options on the table.”

Ospina would join Besiktas as a first team keeper, replacing Fabri who moved to Fulham on a £5.3m move last month.

Ospina has dropped down the pecking order at Arsenal behind Bernd Leno and Petr Cech.

The World Cup star was not included in the matchday squad against Manchester City in the opening Premier League game this season.

Gunners boss Unai Emery has already made it clear that they are prepared to part ways with the Colombian international.
