Arsenal Star Could End Up Leaving Emirates After Fabri Confirmed Fulham Deal, Turkish Giants Target Replacement

Besiktas goalkeeper Fabri revealed that he is on the verge of joining Fulham following the 3-1 friendly victory over Krasnador on Friday.

“As you know the Premier League is a major league and one I am interested in joining. Negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing but there is a verbal agreement with Fulham. I want to thank Beşiktaş for my time here,” Fabri said.

Turkish-Football reported that a verbal agreement in place between Fabri and Fulham for a €6m transfer move.

The keeper is expected to complete his move within the next 48 hours.

The Fabri transfer – should it go ahead – could see Arsenal keeper David Ospina replace the Spanish keeper at Besiktas.

Turkish-Football reported on Thursday that Besiktas had already been offered Ospina through agents operating with a mandate in Turkey.

Besiktas were waiting for the Fabri situation to be resolved before making a formal move for a replacement.

Colombian journalist Esteban Jaramillo, who Ospina follows on Twitter, tweeted on Wednesday that the keeper has given his word to Besiktas pending his official signature.

The 29-year-old reportedly has opted for the Turkish giants over Napoli and Sevilla.

There is one caveat, Besiktas have concerns over Ospina’s wage demands and could make a move for Harun Tekin instead as a result.

Ospina has fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal following the signing of Bernd Leno.

The Arsenal keeper has just 12 months remaining on his contract and has yet to sign a new deal.
