Arsenal star Mesut Özil visited the Whittington Hospital along with his teammates today.
The 26-year-old playmaker posted pictures of his visit on Facebook and Twitter.
Özil included the caption, “…because not everybody is doing as fine as we do. Today we visited the Whittington Hospital with the team. #Arsenal.”
Özil has not featured for the Gunners since damaging his knee ligaments during a 2-0 defeat to Chelsea in October.
The Arsenal playmaker has made two assists and scored one goal in nine appearances for the North-London based club this season.
The 26-year-old became the first player of Turkish origin to win the World Cup when Germany lifted the trophy in Brazil last summer.
The former Real Madrid star received the Laureus charity award last month for helping children in need during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Özil also used his World Cup bonus to fund operations for 23 seriously ill Brazilian children.
