Fenerbahce beat Zenit 1-0 at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium in the Europa League Round of 32 first-leg clash on Tuesday.

Leicester City loanee Islam Slimani scored the winning goal making the most of the Yellow Canaries first-half domination.

Part of the reason Fenerbahce were so impressive in the opening 45 minutes was down to Chelsea loanee Victor Moses putting on a brilliant display on his full debut.

Moses provided the assist for the winning goal, heading the ball down before Slimani tucked his shot past the opposition goalkeeper.

The 28-year-old gave the opposition defence all sorts of problems with his explosiveness. Moses made more successful dribbles than any other player (5) he was also fouled more than any other player (5).

Moses played until the 83rd minute until being replaced with Alper Potuk.

The Nigeria international now has one goal and an assist in four appearances for the Yellow Canaries – his other appearances were coming off the bench as a second half substitute.

Moses is expected to keep his place in the starting lineup moving forward after a brilliant start to his career in Turkey.

Head coach Ersun Yanal refrained from starting Moses immediately after his transfer in order to ease him into the team and help him regain full match fitness.
