“Enjoy this evening” – Arsenal star issues response to France’s World Cup triumph

Arsenal star playmaker Mesut Ozil has congratulated France following their 2018 World Cup triumph.

Didier Deschamp’s side lifted the golden trophy following a controversial 4-2 victory over Croatia in the final.

The game was overshadowed by a mind-boggling decision by referee Nestor Pitana to award France a penalty after consulting VAR.

Following the final whistle, Ozil took to social media to congratulate France and told the French players to enjoy the moment.

Ozil won the World Cup with the Germany national team back in 2014 in Brazil.

The 29-year-old was also part of the Germany team which crashed out of the competition in the Group stage earlier this month.

Joachim Low’s side made an early exit following defeats to Mexico and South Korea.
