Besiktas have stepped up their interest in Swansea City star striker Wilfried Bony.
The Istanbul giants are on the hunt for a new striker to fill the void left by Cenk Tosun’s move to Everton in January.
According to the daily Turkish newspaper Fanatik, Besiktas have already held talks with Bony’s agent. Per the source, Bony is keen on a move to the Turkish Super Lig this summer.
The report goes onto state that Besiktas will hold transfer talks with Swansea City for Bony in the coming days.
The Ivory Coast international has a year remaining on his contract with the Championship side. Swansea do however have the option to extend Bony’s contract by a year.
Swansea City recently confirmed that they are willing to listen to offers for Ivory Coast.
Bony is recovering from surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament. The 29-year-old scored four goals in 20 games for Swansea City last season.
