Fenerbahce have stepped up efforts to sign Liverpool defender Rangar Klavan according to Fotomac.
The Turkish sports newspaper claims that Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli has entered talks with the Reds over Klavan.
Per the source, negotiations have reached an advanced stage and the defender is on the verge of completing the move.
Klavan has just 12 months remaining on his contract but Fenerbahce would not be prepared to pay a transfer fee.
A source close to the club revealed to Turkish-Football that they will only consider loan deals and free transfers.

The only way that would change is if Fenerbahce progress past Benfica in the Champions League Third Round tie tonight.
The Super Lig outfit will invest in transfers if they make it to the next round of the elite European club competition.
Klavan did not make the matchday squad for the Reds against West Ham in their Premier League opener on Sunday.
The Echo report that the 32-year-old could leave Anfield before the end of the month as he wants regular game time.
The Reds did however, snub an approach from Newcastle United before the transfer deadline window as Jurgen Klopp felt he was short of defensive cover.
Now that Joel Matip is back training and following news that Dejan Lovren will not be sidelined as long as initially expected, Klopp is open to Klavan leaving.
