Galatasaray - Türk Telekom Arena

Galatasaray have made a late loan move for Leicester City outcast Leonardo Ulloa a source close to the Istanbul giants revealed to Turkish-Football.com.

Per the source, the Lions want Ulloa on loan until the end of the season with a future buyout clause option.

The Istanbul giants however, have their hands tied in terms of the wages they can offer.

Galatasaray only have a €1 million salary budget for any player joining from now until the end of the January window.

The Lions cannot afford to exceed their budget or could face further sanctions from Financial Fair Play who already suspended the club from European competition this season.

Galatasaray must keep their wage bill from exceeding €65 million however, transfer and loan fees to not factor into the equation.

The Lions could sign Ulloa on a permanent deal and stay within budget however, he is unlikely to accept a €1 million salary.

Galatasaray hope that a loan deal agreement could result in Leicester City covering most of the wage bill.

The Turkish league giants have yet to sign a striker over the winter transfer window despite making it a priority to do so.

Galatasaray lack depth upfront following the departure of Kolbeinn Sigþórsson and the future of Lukas Podolski remains uncertain.

Ulloa has already stated that he will no longer play for Leicester City however, the club have already turned down three bids from Sunderland for the Argentinian striker according to Sky Sports.

The Foxes do not want to sell Ulloa to a relegation rival which could leave the door open for Galatasaray if they manage to convince the club and the player before the end of the transfer window.

Galatasaray would be able to offer Ulloa the prospect of regular football and the chance to be involved in the title race.

The Super Lig outfit are currently third in the league just five points behind reigning champions Besiktas.
