Germany vs Australia: Confirmed Line-ups – Liverpool star benched in tournament opener
Germany take on Australia in their opening Confederations Cup Group B clash in the Fisht Olympic Stadium, Sochi, Russia.
The Germans have been in impressive form recently but have never actually won the tournament before.
Three players of Turkish origin were eligible to start for the clash, Liverpool midfielder Emre Can, Hoffenheim star Kerem Demirbay and Bursaspor full-back Aziz Behich.

Can was expected to start considering head coach Joachim Low named a weakened squad missing many first-choice star names.
The 23-year-old has however, been left on the bench along with Demirbay.
Low did however, give two of his other big name players, Arsenal star Shkodran Mustafi and PSG ace Julian Draxler a starting role
The Germany central midfield will be comprised of Rudy, Goretzka and Stindl.
Behich meanwhile starts for Australia.
