‘My heart beats for Real Madrid’ – says Arsenal star Mesut Ozil
Arsenal star playmaker Mesut Ozil has admitted that he will be supporting Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.
During an interview with Sport Bild, Ozil stated that he still has many friends at Madrid. The 28-year-old went onto say that he will support Madrid when they face Bayern Munich next month.
“Of course my heart beats for Real,” Ozil told Sport Bild.
“I played there and still have many friends to this day in the team and in the club.
“Therefore I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Real, even against Bayern”
Ozil spent three seasons at Real Madrid under Jose Mourinho. The Germany international went onto join Arsenal for a club record £42 million.

The 28-year-old has won two FA Cups since his move to north London. However, Ozil is yet to win a Premier League title since his move to England.
Arsenal take on Manchester City this weekend as they look to return to winning ways. Arsene Wenger’s side have lost four of their last five league games.
Ozil has nine goals and nine assists in 31 apperances for Arsenal this season.
