Leicester City Officially Confirm Caglar Soyuncu Transfer For An Undisclosed Fee On A Five-Year Deal Subject To Work Permit

Leicester City have officially announced the transfer of Caglar Soyuncu for an undisclosed fee from Freiburg on a five-year deal.

The Foxes confirmed the deal on the official club website but made it clear that the transfer is subject to a work permit being granted.

Soyuncu’s agent Mustafa Dogru has informed Turkish-Football that the defender will be given permission to play in the Premier League.

The Turkey international meets the criteria to pass the exceptions panel based on his transfer fee which is expected to be in the region of £20m, his wages and the fact he was a first-team player for Freiburg throughout the season.

The defender will be one of four ethnic Turks in the league alongside Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil and Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.
