Liverpool striker Divok Origi’s agent has confirmed talks with Turkish Super Lig giants Besiktas.
Turkish-Football.com recently revealed that the Black Eagles president Fikret Orman held talks with Origi’s representatives last week. Besiktas are on the hunt for a new striker after selling Cenk Tosun to Everton back in January.
According to the Turkish outlet Fotospor, Origi’s agent Simon Bayliff has confirmed that talks with Besiktas have taken place. Bayliff went onto state that the Belgium international also has attracted interest from both Spain and the Premier League.
Origi joined Wolfsburg on loan last summer following a disappointing 12-months with Liverpool.
The 23-year-old netted six goals in 31 Bundesliga games for Wolfsburg this season. Liverpool may opt to offload Origi in the upcoming transfer window as he has just one year remaining on his contract with the Reds.
Origi was left out of Roberto Martinez’s Belgium squad which will travel to Russia for the 2018 World Cup.
