‘Ozil has actually outdone Zidane’s legacy’ – Arsenal fans react to Newcastle winner & compare star man to Real Madrid boss

Arsenal defeated Newcastle United 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday thanks to a sensational volley from Mesut Ozil.

The playmaker of Turkish origin now has three goals and five assists in all competitions for the Gunners this season.

Ozil has won over a large section of the fan base and silenced his critics over recent weeks.

The 29-year-old will however, be a free agent at the end of the season unless he signs a new contract deal.

Arsenal fans reacted to Ozil’s goal, display and ongoing contract situation on social media after the game – they even compared him with Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane.

Let me hit you with a stat attack!

Wenger had the right intentions I guess.
