Arsenal star Mesut Ozil has come under fire from several former Germany national team players including Lohar Matthaus, Stefen Effenberg and Mario Basler.
Ozil was dropped in the 2-1 victory over Sweden and there have been calls for the 29-year-old to be dropped.
The playmaker was also dropped against Sweden on Saturday after 26 consecutive starts in major tournaments.
Germany boss Joachim Low has included Ozil in the traveling squad to Kazan, Russia.
Low has not however, revealed whether the star player of Turkish origin will return to the starting lineup.
