Arda Güler played a brief role in Real Madrid’s 2-0 victory over Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup to win his fifth piece of silverware.

The young Turkish midfielder, who joined the club from Fenerbahçe, was brought on in the 88th minute.

While Güler did not start, he came on as a substitute and was involved in his first UEFA Super Cup final.

Carlo Ancelotti, the Real Madrid manager, was particularly pleased with Güler’s performance and indicated that the teenager would have a more prominent role in the team going forward.
