Stoke City respond to transfer offers for £18m record signing Imbula
Galatasaray’s loan bid for Stoke City star Giannelli Imbula has been turned down by the Premier League club.
The French star’s future at the Potters has been cast in doubt following a disappointing season. Imbula made the move to Stoke City for a club record £18.3m from Porto in February 2016 (BBC).
The 24-year-old does however have four-year’s remaining on his current deal with Stoke.
A source close to Galatasaray has revealed to Turkish-Football that Stoke City have rejected all loan bid’s for their young midfielder.

Per the source, the Potters are only willing to let Imbula if an offer close to £18 million is made.
Galatasaray offered a £1 million loan fee and were willing to pay Imbula’s wages in full for the duration of the loan spell.
Imbula has made just 23 Premier League starts for Stoke City since his move from Porto.
Stoke manager Mark Huges has admitted that Imbula could leave the club this summer.
“Sometimes things just don’t pan out as you hope,” Hughes was quoted as saying by the BBC.
“It has been a frustration for all parties involved. It’s fair to say with Giannelli that things haven’t quite worked out.
“He hasn’t quite adjusted to the Premier League.
“If there is interest in him then we would consider that. We haven’t had any interest, in fairness, but we would look at things if the right offer came in.”
