Stoke City midfielder Joe Allen has been linked with a surprise move to Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasrary
According to a report in the daily Turkish newspaper Milliyet, Galatasaray are keen on strengthing their midfielder ahead of next season’s UEFA Champions League campaign.
The report goes onto state that Galatasaray has turned their attention towards Stoke City’s Joe Allen.
Allen is expected to leave the Potters after their relegation to the Championship following a disappointing Premier League season.
Per the source, Galatasaray officials are already in contact with Stoke City and Allen’s representatives. Milliyet state that Galatasaray are hoping to convince the Wales international to make the move to Istanbul.

However, Galatasaray are currently being monitored by UEFA for Financial Fair Play. Milliyet goes onto say that the Lions are looking to sign Allen on a season-long loan with an option to buy included.
Allen registered seven assists and four goals in 38 appearances for Stoke City this season.
